General Guidelines
OLM.net offers free 24/7 technical support for the functioning of your server hardware and network connectivity. We also provide assistance with the initial installation of your server, adding additional services and manual reboots. OLM will assist with general server and control panel questions at our discretion. Although OLM goes above and beyond to help each customer, these servers are "self managed" and it is your responsibility to administer the server. OLM does not provide technical support for 3 rd party applications, html, programming or any other scripting languages. You do have the option of purchasing our Managed Services if you ever need assistance troubleshooting a specific problem or need assistance installing software.
Server Security
OLM.net does its very best to release a secure, updated server to our customers. You are solely responsible for any security updates and patches that need to be applied. If at any time your server becomes compromised and is involved in an attack, OLM will immediately shut down the server to protect its network and customers. You will be given the option to re-image the drive, or add a new imaged drive to the server. As a courtesy, OLM will mount your old drive as a backup so you may recover any possible data. Drives will be mounted as a courtesy for 7 days.
Server upgrades
OLM.net offers additional features that can be added to your server here such as RAM and backup solutions. If you require a complete hardware upgrade, you will be required to purchase a new server and pay any new setup and monthly fees. Depending on your current configuration, it may be possible to re-use your hard drive on the new server. If this is not possible, as a courtesy, OLM will mount your old drive as a backup so you may copy over any data. Drives will be mounted as a courtesy for 7 days.
