JUNIOR SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

Immediate opening for Junior Systems Administrator - 2nd and 3rd shifts; flexible hours on a rotation basis; 40+ hours/week. Must have independent/reliable transportation.

Job Description:

• Providing technical support for Level I - III via Help Desk and phone
• Monitoring servers for stability and taking measures to prevent and correct issues
• Providing fellow system administrators and support representatives with technical support and guidance
• Installing, configuring and maintaining servers - i.e. Apache, MySQL and across servers
• Some hardware duties, server builds, OS installs.

Required Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English language
• Ability to work well as a team in a fast-paced environment
• Outstanding customer service skills and dedication to the customer service experience
• Advanced knowledge of the Linux operating system and Linux software tools
• Knowledge of cPanel/WHM control panel is a plus
• Knowledge of Apache web server software
• Experience with advanced computer/server hardware troubleshooting
• Knowledge of RAID is a plus
• Extensive knowledge of network operations including management of routers, firewalls and switches
• Cisco IOS and/or BGP protocol experience is a plus
• Knowledge of bash and Perl shell scripting
• Understanding of PHP and HTML.
